A healthier twist on the classic Indo-Chinese favourite, this Baked Chilli Gobi Masala is made with crispy oven-baked cauliflower florets, tossed in garlic, capsicum, and spring onion, and finished with the bold flavours of Roswods Chilli Gobi Masala. Spicy, tangy, and absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 400 gms Cauliflower florets
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper powder, according to need
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp gingelly oil
  • 4-5 tbsp chili gobi masala
  • ¼ cup finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • ¼ cup diced green capsicum
  • ½ cup chopped spring onion
  • White sesame seeds, as needed
  • 2 tsp soya sauce
  • 2 tsp red chili sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar

Steps

  • Add turmeric powder and a little salt in boiling water. Cook cauliflower florets for 2 minutes and drain the water completely.
  • Take a mixing bowl. Add chili gobi masala, salt, pepper powder and water little by little to make thick batter. Marinate cauliflower with the prepared batter and olive oil and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  • Prepare a baking tray and bake marinated cauliflower florets at 220 degree C for 25 minutes.
  • Heat gingelly oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, onion, capsicum and spring onion. Saute a while.
  • Add soya sauce, tomato sauce, chili sauce and vinegar. Saute a while. Add salt and sugar.
  • Now, add a little water and cook for a few minutes. Add baked cauliflower and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped spring onion.
